Chapter Twenty~ Four

Early Monday morning Lorrisa made an appointment with her doctor for Thursday, about getting a DNA test done while she is still pregnant. She gave Darnell the same information the doctor gave her. They were getting along just fine and she wanted to keep it that way.

Kamryn and Ahdon apologized to each other about what they said. They both were so used to being there for their friends, that when they felt they were being attacked they went on the defense. Ahdon let Kamryn know that he was harboring some of those feelings towards Desiree for keeping his son from him as long as she did.

They both decided to let their friends figure out what they were going to do on their own and just support from the sidelines. Kamryn wanted to keep the peace in their relationship since they were already dealing with enough things as it is.

She decided to meet up with Lorrisa so that they could talk about what happened last night. They made plans to meet for dinner at the new remodeled 'Food for your Heart and Soul' restaurant.

“I love this place, they have some great food.” Lorrisa said as they were seated at their table.

“Me too and the atmosphere here is great too.” Kamryn said picking her menu up. After the waiter took their drink and food orders, the conversation just flowed like old times.

“Kammie, I know I haven't said it much but I am glad to have you as a best friend.”

“Oh girl hush, you know I love you. How can I not you getting ready to make me an auntie.” They shared a laugh.

“Girl she been kicking non stop all day. The only time she don't kick all crazy is when Darnell is around.”

Kamryn gave off a look of surprise when she heard that. “So you told him about her what did he say?”

“He was shocked as I expected him to be. He said that we need to do a DNA test which I agreed to. Kammie, to my surprise he taking it better now. We talked about her name which he thinks she should have his last name.” She laughed.

“Wow, I am happy that you guys are putting your differences aside to do what is best for the baby.”
