The main caveat to all these discussions is that the emphasis has been on the way the smartphone comes to mirror the individual user. The evidence therefore, has to be tempered by the earlier sections on Social Ecology, which showed that a smartphone is just as capable of expressing the personality of a relationship as that of an individual.13
