“That was really hot. She confessed to you right away,” Piper said with unveiled admiration in her voice after Kendall had left the room, sufficiently chastised.

Regan shrugged. “It’s the job you paid me for. Besides, it wasn’t that hard. Any amateur could have made her confess.”

She wasn’t sure if that was true, but there was generally a trusting atmosphere at A Perfect Dream parties. Kendall, the woman who had spied on its attendees, had counted on that atmosphere as well. Sent by her lover in the first place, a man who wanted some dirt on his ex-wife, she had returned by herself a second time to enjoy everything these parties had to offer: Safe, consensual and casual sex, as often as you wanted, with as many women as you wanted.

Regan’s mind was still reeling from everything she had seen, including her own employer’s wife and friend Piper enjoying herself in a group of eager, friendly participants. She had known that places like this existed, but never dreamed she’d find herself in one. Of course, Regan had stayed as professional as she could and watched instead of taking part. She needed a cold shower—or a hot date. Either one would do.

“Where are you going?” Piper asked, following her along the maze of hallways.

“Home,” Regan said, surprised by the question. “My job’s done. We know who blackmailed the owners, now it’s in their hands.”

“Sure, but…” Piper winked. “You know I paid a whole weekend for you, don’t you? I understand you might consider it a conflict of interest to do anything with me in the room…”

Regan almost snorted. How much more entangled could she get than watching Piper having sex with two women, with a couple of observers in the bed next to them? Wow, it was hot in here. She needed a break.

“Anyway,” Piper continued, unimpressed, “There’s a lot more to discover. Take your time.” She leaned closer, whispering, “I won’t tell.”

Now that the culprit was found, Piper was in a state of giddiness. It was unlikely that one vengeful right-wing lobbyist would bring down the empire that was A Perfect Dream. As it seemed, he didn’t even have the support of his mistress anymore. Kendall couldn’t stay away, tapping into her savings for another weekend filled with guiltless sex in any flavor possible.

Regan didn’t have to go into her savings. Piper had paid for her, but she was unsure whether to take full advantage of this gift. It would be easy to just slip into a room with one or two of the women who had given her appreciative glances…Regan was no stranger to appreciative glances, but unlike the three or so lesbian bars in town she preferred, A Perfect Dream wasn’t her turf. Aside from a threesome that happened sometime back in her twenties, more a drunken giggling fumble than anything else, she was a lot more vanilla in the bedroom than Piper thought. Not that any of the women she’d been with had ever complained. They had no reason to do so.
