C.Improve Efficiency

Planning for Meetings has become an essential part of the design process. That which is accomplished at meetings and how meetings are documented is absolutely critical in managing everyone’s expectations. The effectiveness of a meeting is largely dependent on how well the meeting is planned. Solid planning is essential, especially when the meeting is to be attended by multiple stakeholders and is to be held at a location several hours away from the Consultant’s office where recovery from forgetting something can be very difficult. To manage this situation, using a checklist prepared well in advance of the meeting will be helpful. A sample checklist follows this section as Exhibit 3.
