“My name Blue”. He said with a smile. Blue was driving and the car belonged to him, so it was nothing for him to get rid of his homeboy's. Once Blue got his home boys out the way, he decided to cruise the city with Jamyla and catch the nice cool breeze.
“How old are you?” Blue asked glancing over at Jamyla
“Oh Oh I'm 14”. Jamyla said wanting to lie.
“I'm seventeen”. Blue said back.
“You look so much older than that,” Jamyla said focusing all her attention on him.
“Naw baby it's these streets. The rough life I had. Alot of people be thinking I’m a lot older than I am but it's just that hard living.
Jamyla stared at him a little while longer then turned away.
“So your mama let you be out late and shit,” Blue asked.
“Well she doesn't care nothing about me, she strung out on booze and pills”. Jamyla replied shaking her head at the thought.
Blue wanted so bad to dig deeper into Jamyla's life to get to know more about her but he let it go.
“I got my own apartment so we don't have to worry about no disturbances or nothing,” Blue said as he got out of the car and hurried to the passenger side to let Jamyla out.
“Oh so you’re a gentleman huh?” asked Jamyla teasingly. They both headed into Blue's apartment and Jamyla sat down on the couch. Jamyla was impressed with how nice Blue's apartment looked. For him to be only seventeen years old, his house was laid out. He had a cocaine white sectional with matching sofa. There were black tables, black lamps and big fluffy black rugs scattered around the living room. The smell of Lavender filled the room and several pictures of Al Copone hung up in his living room.
“What's up with all the pictures of Al Copone?” asked Jamyla.
“Girl that's just me on my Chicago shit. I aint really into the street life for real but all my nigga's are though so I guess you can say I'm affiliated with some gangstas”.
Jamyla smiled, placed her bag on the side of the couch and then laid back to get comfortable.
“Shawty you real interesting to me Joe like for real. I think I'm digging your cute ass. And being that you the nerdy school girl type turn me on even more baby girl,” Blue said grinning from ear to ear.
“How the hell you figure I’m the nerdy type?” Jamyla said as she jumped up from the couch.
“Come on baby girl, you know you aint on the hard shit and that's cool with me. I like my females smart, loyal and not no bust down getting ran through by all the nigga's in the city”.
Jamyla smiled and laid back down on the couch. Jamyla was surprised by Blue's cool personality. She had definitely thought he was just like all the other thugs out here but the more conversation they had the more Jamyla was feeling him. Although she didn't really know Blue well and had just met him, she had felt so comfortable with him.
