Downstate Hospital

Mo gave Bella’s name at the front desk and was given a pass to her room. Mo prayed that her parents weren’t up visiting her because he knew they wouldn’t permit him in to see her. He didn’t want to cause a scene at the hospital and be carried out in handcuffs if revoked. Mo just wanted to make sure that his girl was doing okay. He wasn’t looking for trouble. He had enough on his mind as it was.

Mo and T-Ski rode the elevator to the floor Bella’s room was on. Mo was nervous because he didn’t know what to expect. He looked over in T-Ski’s direction and saw how calm his brother was. He didn’t have a care in the world. It bothered Mo a bit but he didn’t say anything.

They walked in the direction of Bella’s room together and when they reached the door, T-Ski let Mo walk ahead of him to give him and Bella their privacy. T-Ski decided to go over to the waiting area and have a seat. Mo watched his brother pass by the room and go to the waiting area as he took a deep breath in and walked into Bella’s room. She was up and alert. Mo was shocked to see her looking like herself. He didn’t expect her to be coherent being the last time he saw her, she was in bad condition.

“Hey, how are you feeling?” Mo asked as he walked over to Bella’s bed and stood by her. Bella looked at Mo with a look of death. Mo was confused and didn’t know what that was about.

“What the hell are you doing here? I don’t want to see you. Where is my son? I don’t want him around you or your crazy ass family. I want you to get the hell out of here right now before I call the police on you.” Bella shouted. Mo didn’t know what the hell was going on with Bella and why she was treating him this way. He was confused and thought that she had too much medication that was messing with her thinking process because he hadn’t done any wrong to her to be talked to like this.

“What’s going on with you Bella? What did I do to you?” Mo questioned.

“Get out of here Mo. I don’t ever want to see you as long as I live. I hate you and your deranged ass family. You’re all crazy.” Bella continued to shout. She didn’t care who heard her. She was pissed off.

“I’ll leave if that’s what you want but I’m not giving anyone my son but you. When you get out of here, you know where to find me.” Mo said.

“You will never see my son again. When I get out tomorrow, I’m coming to get my son and we are out of here. I don’t want him around you.” Bella said. Bella started to say something else when she saw T-Ski pass by her room. He glanced at her and made eye contact for a brief second before he kept walking.
