Bent-Leg Hip Extension

Start on your hands and knees, your hands under your shoulders, your knees under your hips, your abs contracted, and your back flat. Bring one knee toward your chest (Position A), contract your buttocks, and extend your leg back (Position B). Return to the starting position. Perform 16 reps, then switch to the other leg and repeat.

Straight-Leg Hip Extension

Start on your hands and knees, your hands under your shoulders, your knees under your hips, your abs contracted, and your back flat. Extend your leg straight behind you, touching your toe to the ground (Position A), contract your buttocks, and lift your leg up (Position B). Lower your leg to the start position. Perform 16 reps, then switch to the other leg and repeat.
