Consider a car pulling a trailer as Figure 7.72 shows. The car is traveling along a circle of radius R > 1, based on a normalized length in which the length of the trailer is 1. In a circular motion with a normalized angular velocity ω = 1 and period T = 2π, the position of the car is given by a time-dependent vector function:
