Chapter Fifteen
Charles
I awoke early the next morning and noted that Philip was still snuggled up against me as best he could be with one arm in a cast. I looked at him for a long time. Even with overnight stubble on his face, I never tired of just watching him sleep. Eventually, he began to stir, so I leaned over, kissed him, and said, “Good morning, Sleeping Beauty."
Philip stretched as best he could with only one fully functional arm, smiled, and said, “How long have you been awake?"
"A while. I've just been lying here watching you sleep, enjoying the view."
He smiled his thanks at me. “How do you feel this morning? Any pain? Do you need to use the bathroom?"
"Great, no, and not yet.” I looked at the bedside clock, which read six thirty. “Feel like making up for last night before the guys get here?"
"Do I ever!” He rolled over on top of me.
"Why don't you let Lance out, babe, before we get too busy?"
He got up, went to the door, and held it open. “Lance,” he called quietly, “time to go out.” Lance trotted out the door, and Philip closed it and came back to bed, his erection leading the way. “Now, where do you want this thing, big boy?"
I held out my arms, and he crawled on top of me. We were lying there thirty minutes or so later, basking in the afterglow, so to speak, when I realized that nature was calling, so I said, “Babe, I need to go to the bathroom."
He got up, pulled some gym shorts on, produced another pair of them, and slid them up my legs. “Raise your butt a bit, if you can, so I can get these things in place,” he said. “No need to shock Goodman with your sexy smooth crotch.” He also handed me an oversized T-shirt to put on, and he struggled into one himself.
That being accomplished, he hurried downstairs and returned shortly with Goodman in tow. He said to Goodman, “We'll do it the same way we did yesterday afternoon.” The two of them got me into the bathroom and on the throne in record time.
Philip said, “Enjoy,” and he and Goodman left the room.
I heard him tell Goodman that we would once again manage to get me back to bed ourselves; then I heard the bedroom door closing as Goodman left. Philip came back into the bathroom and brushed his teeth. Finishing that, he surveyed the bathroom. “I'll bet the place I rented your wheelchair from can recommend someone to outfit this room with grab rails and things. I told Gran about it last night, and she left it to me to handle."
"You know, I've never seen anyone have Gran wrapped around his little finger the way you seem to."
"You think so?"
"I know so."
"She's just grateful."
"Grateful?"
"Remember the conversation I told you about?"
"I'd forgotten about that."
"Have you finished there, or do I need to go in search of another bathroom?"
"All done,” I said, and I hit the flush lever.
