This move is often performed as a static exercise, however, I prefer to move in and out of the position and count the repetitions rather than just being still.

Place your elbows on the ball then lift the knees off the ground, visualise a straight line from the shoulder to hips, knees and ankles.

Hold the position for a single large breath in and out, then bend the knees to release the effort for a moment, then repeat.

! tricks of the trade

When my clients go from the kneeling version of this to the harder straight leg version I make them start with their feet very wide apart, which helps with balance.
