Cinnamon Sugar Onion Tagine
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs red onions, sliced
6 tbsps olive oil
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar
Directions
Spread your onions in a casserole dish.
Get a bowl, combine: olive oil, ginger, pepper, cinnamon, and sugar.
Top the onions with this mix then stir everything in the casserole dish.
Place a covering of foil on the dish and let it sit for 3 hrs.
Set your oven to 325 degrees before doing anything else.
Once the oven is hot place the casserole dish into it and cook the tagine for 50 mins.
Now turn up the heat to 400 degrees and take off the foil.
Cook everything for 7 more mins.
Serve the mix over grilled or baked meat.
