His Presence in Places

To further a view of the Ghost’s conditional presence, sell them on the idea that he visits or dwells in the physical places they worship instead of being housed literally within them. Passages in the Book describing the old way of the law will assist in promoting this view.

Have them imagine the Ghost as swooping down to fill their worship venues with his presence. If we fill their minds with the idea that his presence is reliant on their buildings, their music, and their reading of the Book, they will inevitably conclude he is not very present the remainder of the time. They will settle for less, and we will accomplish more.

All of this will undoubtedly lead them to hunt for new experiences, or “revival,” each time they feel a prolonged emotional drag. They will look for spiritual renewal of his presence through events that they expect him to “attend.” Over and over, they will seek a fresh anointing of the Ghost and pursue more power for upright living.

Their leaders can be used to repeatedly challenge them to hunger for more, never settling or being satisfied with the supposed “little” they currently possess of the One. This despite the One himself telling them they would hunger no more.

So we work alongside these leaders, convincing their masses that they are in need of more of the Ghost. Followers will assume they are not yet complete. They will not even imagine that they can awake every day and labor according to his power and intimate presence already at work within them.

Finally, a thorough attack will encompass their prayer life. Push them to pray for more of the Ghost, a second and third portion. In all their supplications, let them forget that the Enemy poured out his love into their hearts through the Sacred Ghost and permanently equipped them with himself. As they open the door to the sales pitch of his conditional presence, they shut out an authentic revelation of the Life already theirs.
