Chapter 18

Xander

I stare at my bedroom door that slammed shut behind her, trying to figure out how the fuck that happened when she didn’t touch it, but I’m still riding the waves of bliss after getting up close and personal with Rhea.

Fuck.

I can’t explain the need that burned inside of me for her. With every passing second, my wolf neared the surface and there was little I could do about it. I felt like a passenger in my own body. He’s done that a few times, made his presence known, but in Rhea’s presence it only escalates.

Wetting my lips, I recall the entire moment in my mind as I glance at the wall beside the door. She felt like everything in my hands. Weightless and soft as she begged for more. She didn’t shy away from my rough tendencies. If anything, she encouraged them, which only pleased my wolf.

Rhea fucking Harrington.

It’s safe to say I have never fucked anyone like that before, and I don’t ever want to again; only her.

The moment I ripped the condom off and thrust deep inside her stirred my soul, every inch of my body burning for her even brighter, and as she shattered in my arms, her tits bouncing with every thrust, I followed straight after her. Something shifted inside of me, my body seeming to align with Gods knows what, but I feel indescribable.

I feel light headed, and I don’t know whether it’s from the drain of my climax or because she’s gone, but I’m considering running after her to find out.

“Fucking focus, Xander!” I blink, and blink again, before glancing toward Adonis who glares at me. His perfect hair is slightly messy as he rakes his fingers through it once more. Khaos stands beside him, looking at me through slits so small I can’t even tell his eye color right now. While Zen taps his fingers on his mouth, deep in thought. “Something happened here and we need to know what,” Adonis adds, expecting me to have all the answers.

I swipe a hand down my face as I sigh. “I don’t know what.”

That instantly earns me a scoff from Khaos. “Don’t be an idiot, Xander. Her eyes were fucking red. Red. There’s a broken light bulb shattered in the room,” he continues, waving his hand at the debris on the floor. “And the lights in the hallway flickered so much I thought they were ready to go too.”

“That doesn’t mean I know why,” I retort with a bored look as I move to my closet and grab a fresh t-shirt, instantly feeling guilty that I didn’t offer one to Rhea before she high-tailed it out of my room.

“We were banging on the door for five minutes straight and you acted like we didn’t exist. Explain,” Adonis hisses, and when I turn to look at him, agitation all over his face, I almost consider the fact that he might be jealous that I got to feel Rhea first, but the concern and surprise in his blue eyes tells me otherwise.
