Chapter #8 30 Flocks
“Look, wait right here. Leave the car running, we'll be right back,” 30 Flocks told Diamond as she pulled up to Diva’s Plus hair salon.
30 Flocks and his two little homeboys, Angelo and Big Boy, hopped out of the car with guns dangling at their side. It was said that Slim's younger sister, Precious, came to the salon every Friday to get her hair done by Shante. Shante was cool with 30 Flocks, but this wasn't anything personal; this was business. It was known that Precious was messy and couldn't stop running her mouth if her life depended on it, so this was going to be the last time that she ran her mouth, and it was going to be the last time she would tell her brother that she loves him. This was something 30 Flocks didn’t get to do, so Slim was going to have it good.
Making their way to the entrance, they covered their faces with ski masks. Big Boy pumped the sawed-off shotgun he had in his hand as they entered. Big Boy was a huge kid for his age. He was seventeen, stood six foot six, and weighed 390. He could have easily been on a free ride to any D-1 college on a football scholarship, but instead of playing football, he played the streets like a linebacker.
“Everybody shut tha fuck up and don't move!” he yelled.
Big Boy took post at the door like a bouncer at a club. Angelo and 30 Flocks came around him. Angelo was a young dude with a brain as big as a peanut, yet a heart as big as a lions'. 30 Flocks knew to keep him close, because leave it up to him, he would have shot every female in the salon. 30 Flocks had him posted in the middle of the salon, making sure no one tried anything sneaky. Diva's Plus was one of the most popular hair salons in the city of Los Angeles, so there was no telling who could have been in the salon. It was known to keep a diverse crowd. Professional women mixed with low-budget ghetto broads. On any given day, you could have an FBI agent sitting next to a drug queen. Diva's Plus had also been mentioned in books, magazines, and movies.
As Angelo took post, 30 Flocks walked over to Shante's chair where Precious was seated looking startled. Everyone in the salon looked the same as her. 30 Flocks figured they just knew a robbery was about to go down. He thought over sticking everybody up, but chose against it. However, the words out of his mouth were completely different. “Y’all know what this is. Everybody take off your jewelry, empty yo' pockets, and throw y’all purses into the middle of the floor. Anyone who tries to stash anything will not make it out of here alive...”
Before 30 Flocks could make his statement, Angelo was running up on people, snatching their belongings. “Bitch, didn't he say no stashing!”
He open hand slapped some chick and checked her belongings.
