So it was a trip of expectations for Nikki. They had played the take it slow game as well as it could be played, she thought, but a part of her was ready to take it so fast that the only reason they would stop would be to catch their breath. Although another part of her, perhaps the bigger part, was still a little wary of Mo. He never wanted to talk about the past, not even remotely, and even when she asked about his former girlfriends he would only say that she was his lady now. She understood that he was not the kiss and tell type, and she respected that, but he wouldn’t tell her ANYTHING.

And then there was Myra. Miss Myra Braswell. She had a key to his home, which was understandable since she and Jake were Mo’s absolute closest friends, but the way she behaved when she came into his home. She was behaving as if she ran that roost. And the way she behaved at her own house two weeks ago, all but treating Nikki and Lance as if they had the plague, was bothersome too. And what about all of those female friends with benefits that Mo had? He said the benefits were over, that he wasn’t putting his dick into anybody but her, but what about the women? Nikki knew how great in bed Mo was. She couldn’t imagine how she would feel if she no longer had him in her bed. How did his “friends” feel now? Did they just take his change of heart easily? All of them? She didn’t know. And that was the worst part of all.

It was a fast trip and she was astonished at how many traffic laws the good judge broke. He was driving as if the road was an obstacle course and all the other cars on that road were the obstacle. At one point, while they sped along the I-4 Corridor, she looked at the speedometer. They were doing 80 with a bullet. She looked at Mo and smiled. “Conservative my ass!” she said, and he laughed.

But he also slowed his behind down.
