Psychometry
In Meta-Psychometry: Key to Power and Abundance, Gavin and Yvonne Frost define psychometry as reading memories and energies of the past left behind in an object as it relates to the person who owned it.
In almost all writings on the subject, authors speak only of reading objects. The theory is that an object can retain the vibrations and energies of the people who owned it. The diviner then receives those vibrations and energies through touch and sees or senses them in the mind as memories coming from the object. Which further supports the concept that thoughts are things.
I can read inanimate objects moderately well. I am better at reading trees, walls, some stones, or in some instances the ground rather than the usual personal item.
However, I read people by touch very well. My best friend once said, âDo not let her hug you unless you want her to know everything about you.â She said it with laughter and love, but it was a warning for the person to shield because it is true.
Without realizing it, most people broadcast their surface thoughts and emotions quite readily. It is an energy people put out when they inadvertently broadcast. I can feel and clairvoyantly see that broadcasted energy when I am within ten feet of most people. That energy alerts my psychic skills and prompts me to scan that energy more deeply. In the scan, my empathic skills tell me their mood and if it is good, mad, bad, deeply troubled, and so on.
Then, if I choose to hug the person, I open all my senses to let in what they are broadcasting inadvertently. When I hug them, my clairvoyance gives me the visuals, my empathy the feelings, and my claircognizance provides the knowing. This shows how individual skills can combine and be useful.
Psychometry Exercises
There are games that help build psychometry skills you can do with anyone. They can be fun to do at parties too.
To begin, close your eyes and relax. Now rub your hands together vigorously, especially the fingertips. This will activate the sensory pads there. With eyes still closed, begin to gently rub your clothing or whatever is next to you with your fingertips. Pay attention to everything you feel, every texture every bump, whatever it is. This exercise stimulates the sensory pads in your fingers.
Many people are surprised at all the subtle things they feel which they never would have noticed before. Thus, this exercise is excellent to build awareness training too.
Once you have gotten familiar with what your finger sensory pads can feel, try the exercise again but this time touch a paper you are not familiar with that has images and colors on it. Rub your fingers gently around the picture and use your sense of touch to focus on what it tells you.
The goal is to see if you can feel when the graphic changes or the color changes. If you get a clairvoyant image with changes do not be surprised.
For another skill builder, take four different colored pieces of construction paper and tear a small piece from each one.
