Following God’s voice and remaining steadfast in our praise is not always easy. We hear the Lord’s voice and decide that our way is better. Still, in order to live the life God has planned for us, we must be able to discern the Lord’s voice and plans from our own.

Can you relate to Pharaoh’s struggle with listening to the Lord?

Discerning God’s voice isn’t always easy. What are some ways you can listen better for the Lord’s guidance?

Think about a recent struggle you had. List three ways you could have praised God’s plan and followed it instead of your own.

Would you have had the courage to follow Moses’ instructions at the Red Sea? What ways have you stepped out in a direction that you weren’t sure of? How did things turn out?

Moses was a man of tremendous strength. If God had called you to liberate such a people, would you have had faith in the Lord and followed the call? Would you have been able to follow through?

List five reasons God deserves praise for things He has done in your life this week alone.

What situations in the past has God guided you out of? How did you know it was the Lord’s path and not yours?

Write down at least one way you have asked for help this week.

When you chose your own path, how did the end results compare to when you chose to trust in and praise God?

List ways you already faithfully follow God’s instructions in your life.
