THREE AVENUES TO THE HIGH PLACE

You can get to the high place all by yourself. You don’t have to lead a large crowd in an auditorium like I often describe; you don’t need anyone else with you. There are three avenues to the high place. The Word of God is the first avenue, fellowship (prayer) is the second avenue, and worship is the third avenue to the high place.

Does the order matter? I believe it does. The Word fuels your fellowship with God in prayer. When you read the Word, not only does He quicken your fellowship with Him; He ignites it! Prayer, which I call fellowship because that’s what it is, can bring you to the high place. But fellowship is ignited and energized by the Word. Fellowship without the Word has no power.

As you spend time in God’s precious Word, it begins to bring life-giving power to your soul and spirit. The Word of God is living, and it will instantly birth fellowship with God. You step into incredible fellowship with the Lord. You tell Him how much you love Him and how glorious He is.

You connect with the Lord’s heart, and then worship comes out of that. And when worship begins, it accelerates your speed. You go from low to high levels—to the high place—and you’re moving quickly. When you get up there, everything is abundant and free.

Then the anointing is revealed. You say, “Pastor Benny, why do you say it’s revealed?” The Bible says God’s power is hidden.
