“Aidan,” Cecelia moaned. “Make love to me.” She wanted him. Desperately.

She panted against his ear as his lips moved along her neck. She shivered. Her whole body was a huge erogenous zone. She was about to combust. The entire evening had been one long lead up to this moment. They had made love before, sure, but tonight it would be extra special.

Because they loved.

She hadn’t realized, until the moment of his declaration, how much she had needed to hear those words.

“Yes, ma’am.” Aidan took a gulp of breath and set her down on the wide back of the sofa.

He pushed up the layers and layers of material — why, she bemoaned, had she chosen such a voluminous outfit? — as she frantically battled with his belt. And button. And the bloody zip of his pants.

She ached for him. She burned for him. She needed him inside her. Now. “Now, Aidan. Now.”

“As you wish,” he gasped and thrust, hard, into her welcoming heat with a grunt.

It barely took a minute, the hot release searing through them both as they clung to each other, mindless, lost in the wonder of the moment. Gasping for breath, sated, they pulled apart slightly, just enough to stare at each other in bemusement.

“Fuck,” Aidan sighed as he rested his sweaty forehead against hers.

“That it was,” she giggled.

He threw back his head as he laughed, long and deep. “I love you, Lily.”

His thumb traced her swollen lips. He had really lost his mind tonight, attacking her mouth — and other parts of her — as he had. She had no complaints, even if she was a little bit tender.

“As I love you.”

After a few minutes of holding each other close, he put his arms under her and carried her up the stairs.

She and her cowboy had lots of loving to give each other.

A lifetime of loving.
