Chapter 14

Willow

Campania’s eyes warm me with their heat. An intensity that sparks desire and turns it red hot within a moment of time. His eyes track every move of my hips, every sway of my body and jiggle of my breasts. The powerful vampire master wants me as much as I want everything that he has to give.

A slow song comes on overhead. As if in slow motion the males join their mates. I watch with bated breath as Campania walks toward me, his eyes undressing me before taking me in his arms and guiding me across the floor.

His hold is tight, possessive, and damnably hot. The warmth of his breath against my ear sends shivers of desire straight to my center. I’m so absorbed in the moment that all sense of time is lost, only the feel of his hard, powerful body holding me as though we’ve danced this way for a lifetime.

Campania’s hand shifts from my lower back, my body immediately missing the warmth of his touch, the connection. He tilts my chin, giving me no ability to look anywhere else but the depth of his dark eyes that have reddened around the rims. “Come with me, enchantress.”

It’s not a request, and without question my eyes close, allowing him to take us into the black void. When my feet touch the floor again, he’s watching me intently. It’s just the two of us and our smoldering passion in a masculine bedroom that I presume belongs to him.

I should be scared out of my mind to find myself in the vampire’s lair, but the opposite is true. I want everything that’s floating around in his mind. As if sensing my internal debate, he pulls me close, and his lips descend. He kisses me with a fervor that I feel to my very core. There is no denying my need for Campania; my body will not allow it, arching to get even closer to his heat.

The blood coursing through my veins begins to thrum, causing my pulse to race. He gently traces a finger down the length of my neck, settling on the sensitive curve of my shoulder before following with his lips, and trailing a white-hot path of desire as he kisses the expanse of exposed skin along the way.

I swallow past the initial fear of what he may do, as our passion ignites. I will my heart to slow, and my feet not to give out below me. Campania whispers into the sensitive shell of my ear as his finger traces over a protruding nipple. “Trust me, Willow.”

He draws back slightly, his eyes glowing red and his fangs fully descended as he begins to undress me, the desire in his eyes lighting my own with a need that only he can put out. “So beautiful.” He watches me intently as he undresses, exposing the raw and powerful lines of his body, broad chest and tight abdomen etched with well-defined muscle.
