Chapter 14-Chloe

One minute, I was pregnant, and the next, I was actually holding my son Dominic Demonte, Jr. He was absolutely perfect and everything that I had imagined. Although he was born four weeks early, he was in great health. He was 6 lbs. and 13ounces, and looking at him was like looking at his daddy. They were twins. When I woke up, and I saw Dom holding him, all I could do was cry. I had never seen him look at something so lovingly. Not even me.

I felt so bad that he had missed seeing his son being born, and I was kicking my ass for getting out of the bed in the first place. I just hated to hear my grandmother crying like she was. That’s the only reason why I went over there. Hearing my mother speak so nasty about me hurt me more than anything in this world, though. Although she was mad at me when I was younger about the situation with my father, I thought that we were past it. It’s like, as soon as he touched down, she changed on me and acted as if she hated me. Never in my life did I ever think that she could be so cruel.

It was one thing to say fuck me, but how could she say fuck my baby? That’s so not fair to him. That hurt me more than anything in this world, and just thinking about it hurts my soul. I know Dominic thinks I’m nuts with all of this crying, but little does he know that my mother’s actions have put a hole in my heart. I strongly believe the venom she spat caused me to go into labor. It’s cool, though. I have a God that sits high and looks low. My mother will get everything that’s coming to her. It’s a special type of hell for a bitch like her.

“Thank you so much, baby.” Dominic said, as he bent down and kissed me on the forehead.

“For what?”

“For giving me a son and being a great wife. I don’t know where I would be without you. I’m sorry for all my craziness. I promise I will never do anything to hurt either of you. I’ll make sure to be the best father to my son that I could be. I love y’all so much.” I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him so tight.

“We love you, too, Dominic. You have made me the happiest woman in the world. I thank God for you. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me. No matter what happens, or what we go through, I will always be here when you need me. I know that you will be a wonderful father to our son.” I grabbed his face and placed a juicy kiss on his lips.

“Get you some rest. I’ll keep an eye on my son. We need to bond.”

“Don’t you need to get back out of town with your brothers?”

“Nah. There is no other place in the world I would rather be.
