Guan et al. [4] developed a one-dimensional transient model to account for cross-sectional variance in asphaltene deposition along pipelines and predict deposition above the bubble point temperature. The EoS model was used to calculate the asphaltene equilibrium concentration i.e. solubility of asphaltene at a particular temperature and pressure while numerically solving the heat, mass, and momentum transport equations. The precipitation and aggregation mechanisms were assumed to be first-order kinetics while solving the concentration profile.
