Star

I was on the phone and I heard a knock on my door. I already knew it was Blu because she called me earlier to let me know that she was coming over in a few. I can’t believe Mookie would pull some fuck boy shit like that. I was tryna convince Blu to go over there to give him the business, but she wasn’t with it. I would have went doley over there to fuck him up, but I decided to respect Blu’s wishes. I knew my girl didn’t wanna be bothered, so I decided to leave her alone to do her own thing. I was surprised when she told me she was going back to school tomorrow. I guess she was ready to get shit back to normal. Instead of us talking about her and Mookie’s problems, we decided to talk about me and Bucks.

“So I see you and Bucks still going strong.”

“Yeah we are. I think I started to develop more feelings for him as the days go by.”

“Umm, and are you sure that’s a good thing?”

“What you mean?”

“He is basically a married man Star. I thought y’all was just gonna be friends.”

“We are friends.”

“Whatever you say girly.” Blu was starting to piss me off. Me and Bucks are friends, so what if I’m developing feelings for him? I understand that we can’t be nothing more than just friends, so what’s the problem?

“Well, me and Bucks getting dressed to chill at Mookie’s crib. I know you not gonna go, so you could just stay here.”

It’s funny how just an hour ago me and Bucks were together. It just felt like nothing else mattered. But now I was feeling like shit because I felt like I was gonna be the reason his family breaks up.

An hour later and I was dressed and waiting for Bucks to pick me up. Blu was right though. Why was I fucking with him?

He finally pulled up in front of my house and I started walking down the steps. When I made it to his car, he tried to give me a kiss on the cheek but I stopped him.

“We’re friends right? I don’t think a kiss on the cheek is very friendly,” I said while sitting in the car.

“You are right,” Bucks said while shutting my door.

He got in, pulled off and made his way to Mookie’s house. The whole time I was there I couldn’t help but look at Mookie. My nigga looked stressed as hell. Well he should for what he did to Blu.

Here I was downing my fourth shot of Ciroc and Bucks ass was over in the living room playing 2k. I thought for a fact that I was gonna be the one ignoring him but I feel like he is actually the one ignoring me, I ain’t care. I mean don’t he gotta wife and child at home he should be attending too? I don’t know why his ass is even here.

“What’s up with you? You’ve been ignoring me all night.
