Carving a new trail is hard at first. It takes determination and willpower to guard against discouragement. Why is it so wrong to walk in discouragement? Because discouragement turns into self-pity and bitterness. We can’t stand against fear if we are discouraged. We’ll end up losing our vision and become disillusioned. When we turn our gaze away from the vision and direction in which we are headed, we will surely stumble.
