YOU CAN SAY NO TO COMPROMISE

If you find yourself in a position of compromise, you can do several things to change your circumstances.

First, ask God to rekindle your love for Him. Also pray that He will renew your desire to read His Word and pray. God’s Word is your guide to spiritual and emotional healing.

Second, pray that He will help you to restore your faith in Him. Many times, when people have fallen into sin, they mistakenly believe that they need to do something to gain God’s approval. There is only one thing they need to do, and that is to confess their sin and need for God.

When they do this, God opens their hearts to His love and forgiveness. Faith in God and His ways is the mark of a true believer. When you place your faith in God, He will lead you out of trouble and heartache. There may be consequences to the sin you have committed, but you will be able to bear them with God’s help.

Third, make a commitment to stand firm and listen for God’s leading. He is still speaking to us today. He speaks through His Word, pastors and ministers who have made a commitment not to compromise His truth, and godly friends.

As you break your ties with compromise, God will open your heart to His truth, and you will experience an unspeakable sense of joy and freedom. Satan may have blinded Adam and Eve to God’s goodness, but the same does not have to be true for you. You can avoid his landmines and live free from the destruction of sin through faith in Christ.

If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, then your life contains limitless potential because God’s Spirit lives within you. Don’t allow the world to define who you are or what you will become. Seek God’s approval. Surrender your life to Him, and watch as He removes all the things that once held you captive and replaces them with peace, joy, happiness, and a deep, abiding contentment. This is His eternal promise to you.
