Chapter 20

Jason slowly turned in the queen bed that he shared with Trini to face her backside. The light was gently peeking through the blinds as the midday continued its daily path. Trini was silent as she slowly breathed in and out as she drifted in rem sleep. Jason watched Trini’s curvature slowly move up and down and was amazed at how far their relationship has grown over the past two weeks.

Two weeks ago, she took my virginity in this bed. Fast forward to today, and it seems like we can’t be separated for over ten minutes. Is this what love feels like? If it is, I can’t get enough of it, Jason thought as he inched his way closer to Trini’s body. He draped his arm over her side, touching Trini’s soft belly. Trini sleepily moved and grabbed Jason’s fingers, intertwining them with hers as she slept. Jason grew comfortable once more as he fell back to sleep.

Jason was awakened by footsteps. They were silent at first, but gradually they got louder until Jason heard the cabin door open. Jason inhaled and recognized the scent of smoke, and recognized that Greg must have returned from his morning shift as sheriff.

“Shit, I thought y’all would have been up by now. With it being your first full moon,” Greg said as he opened the fridge door downstairs.

Jason’s eyes grew wide with surprise as he realized Greg was correct. It was their first full moon, it was their night to feel the healing effects of the moon, and Jason grew excited as he slowly rubbed the belly of Trini.

“Trini, wake up,” Jason whispered in her ear. Trini gave a groggy moan as she ignored Jason’s first attempt to wake her.

“I already heard Greg come in. If he wants another training session, tell him I’m done for the rest of the day. I’m tired as fuck, and I’m bruised over most of my body. I am not sure if some of these bite marks are hickies or actual bite marks from sparing with Mohinder. At this point, I really don’t care. This is the first time Allison gave us a day off, and I plan on sleeping in the bed the entire time,” Trini complained as she moved her body the opposite way.

Jason heard Isabella and Mohinder both get out of their beds and head down the stairs. Jason laughed and pushed Trini’s hair back behind her ear. He inched closer to her ear and whispered once more.

“It’s our first full moon.”

A smile grew on Trini’s face as she sat up in bed.

“Is it that time already?”

“Looks that way, I can see the moon coming up already,” Jason said as he peered through his window.

Trini beamed her signature smile at Jason. “It’s about damn time. Oh if Allison is right, my skin would no longer have these bruises. Oh, I can’t wait to feel sexy again.”

“You always look sexy to me,” Jason replied as he moved back to the bed and gave Trini a deep kiss.
