As I describe many of the most important cannabis companies in this and the remaining chapters, I want to stress that this is meant to offer a brief overview and not a deep dive. Stock analysts produce dozens and dozens of pages of granular analysis on individual companies – and updated constantly. My inbox is flooded with cannabis news and analysis on a daily basis. In the cannabis space, more than most industries, the landscape is changing continually. I urge investors to seek good investment advice, perform their own due diligence, study the latest cannabis news, and search for unbiased analyst reviews. And do not believe just one analyst! All analysts have opinions. Some are extremely knowledgeable. Some are biased. Search for consensus and learn which analysts are the most accurate – and most believable. As a portfolio manager, my job is not to write cannabis industry or company analysis. My job is to wade through the company releases and analyst reviews to make the best investment portfolio decisions.
