Hackers
Occasionally, the issues on Twitter grow far past bullying, trolling, or harassment. Hacking is a huge problem on the internet. Twitter has not been immune to the practice. No matter how secure a site may be, it can still be hacked by skilled criminals. A hacker is someone who uses technology to break into a computer network. Once he or she has access, the hacker can steal information like passwords, credit card numbers, and personal details. Sometimes hacking groups do this to steal information or just to show how powerful they are. Hacking is also a tool used by some countries to weaken the governments and businesses of other nations. Because hacking is a crime that you canât see, it can be a little creepy! Luckily, most sites and companies have security in place to deal with hackers. Usually, hacks can be stopped before theyâve been fully carried out.
