Friendship
A mother knows friendship renews her spirit.
A rewarding as motherhood can be, it also can make us long for uninterrupted showers, quiet walks, and time with other adults. We often feel isolated from other grownups, surrounded constantly by the chatter of children. We fall into a pattern of always giving to our children without ever renewing ourselves.
Sharing moments with good friends can help us renew our spirit—and it teaches our children the value of friendship.
Lay your hand on your child’s face and say, “Be a good friend to others.”
