(In this example of our circuit, the problem is a bad light bulb. These burnt light bulbs sometimes wont be easy to see so testing is required. As you can see in the illustration, I have tested various parts of the circuit even if it is unnecessary since there IS the 12 volts available to the light. If there is power and there is ground to any electrical device and it is not turning ON, chances are the device itself is bad. We can actually end our testing there by simply checking if we read the voltage we should have at the device.)
