“You having fun?” Don asked as we slow danced to Guy’s ‘Let’s Chill.’ We were at his party and I was actually having a great time. People were snapping pictures and I knew we’d be all over the blogs the next day, but I didn’t care. He was very handsome and he knew how to treat a lady. I didn’t have to fall in love with him or catch feelings for him to be able to appreciate his friendship.
“I am actually.” I admitted looking into his brown eyes.
He smiled. “Good, my job is done then.”
Once the song ended, Don excused himself to go to the bathroom and I went to get another drink. The party was packed with at least five hundred people in attendance. I had just taken a sip of my champagne when I noticed Supreme looking like he was having a heated discussion with Sade’.
Don allowed me to invite one person and since Alira was already on the list with her boyfriend, I asked Don to give Sade’ a ticket. I watched the two intently wondering what in the world they could be arguing about. When I saw Supreme grab Sade’s arm, I headed over towards them.
“What’s going on?” I asked interrupting their heated debate.
They both turned to look at me with surprised eyes. “Aren’t you busy entertaining yo nigga?” Supreme asked sarcastically, not able to mask his jealousy.
“You’re in here making a scene and putting your hands on someone that I know so I’m asking you what’s good?”
“This rat ass bitch stole my Rolex. She tried to get at me when I went to your office and I called her after I left Vegas. I should have known better than to mess with her gutter snipe ass.” Supremes’ gaze shifted back to Sade’ as he looked at her with contempt.
I was shocked. For one because I had told her ass to save that groupie shit for when she was off the clock and for two, Supreme isn’t my man nor is he the faithful type but how could he sleep with my employee while he claimed to love me? Karma, a small voice echoed in my head. How could I expect him to show me any kind of loyalty and he wasn’t loyal to his own wife?
I wasn’t about to make a scene at Don’s party or in public period. People were beginning to look and wonder what the commotion was about. I spoke in a calm tone.
“Well you’re married and people are looking so I suggest y’all take this somewhere else. Sade’ consider this a warning and if I find out you’re on my clock trying to solicit men again you’ll be needing another job.”
I attempted to walk away but Supreme grabbed my arm. He had seemed to forget all about his confrontation with Sade’. I looked over my shoulder at him, wondering why he was being so extra in public.
“I need to holla at you.”
“You really don’t.” I said my voice laced with attitude.
“Is everything ok?” Don asked.
