Chapter 14
“Tiny put your damn gun down.” I yelled, and he looked at me.
“Harmony, get out of here. This nigga sent people to kill me.” He said.
“Sharrif, put your gun down!” I told him.
“Nah ma, he pulled his out first. Tell him to drop his.” Sharrif replied.
Security started running over here withdrawing their guns.
“No! I’ll handle it. Just give me a second.” I told them.
One of the five nodded, and they all lowered their guns. I walked up and pushed Sharrif back so that I was standing in front of Tiny’s gun blocking his shot.
“Move Harmony!” He yelled.
“You shoot him, you shoot me too, Tiny, put your fucking gun down.” I yelled back.
He looked at me then placed it in his waist band. I turned to Sharrif, and his was already on his hip. Ron shoved Tiny so he was walking towards the car. I glanced at Sharrif with a disgusted look on my face then walked away.
Everybody went back to what they were doing before the two idiots pulled their guns out. I smacked Tiny in his chest when I seen him.
“Tiny, what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you that damn insecure that you would go and pull a gun out on somebody in the middle of a damn family event? Especially with my sister here… You could’ve killed somebody, and I’m not talking about Sharrif.” I pushed is head back with my finger. “You need to think before you do stupid shit like that, yo, for real.”
“He sent peopled to kill me, Harmony. What the hell was I supposed to do? I seen him and I snapped.” He said.
“Tiny, it wasn’t him that sent them niggas after you. Next time Ima need for you to get yo facts straight before you go and pull off some dumb shit like that. Either you would’ve been dead on the ground, or your dumb ass would’ve been on your way to the city jail if it wasn’t for me.” I replied, and I was beyond pissed.
“Tiny, she’s right. They were about to shoot both of y’all, but Harmony told them not to.” Ron said.
“You and Sharrif need to tighten up. Y’all have known each other too long to be doing stuff like that.” Dean added.
Tiny waved us off and shook his head before walking away.
“Ron, you coming?” He asked.
“Nah, I’m staying with them… I’ll find a ride home.” Ron replied.
Tiny walked away and disappeared in the dark.
“I’ll take you home, Ron.” I told him.
“Can I have everybody’s attention please?” Some guy holding a microphone announced. “It’s judging time, so if you think you have one of the baddest cars here, drive to the field. First and Second place winners win five thousand dollars. So hurry up! Judging starts in ten minutes.”
“Bri, you want to ride with me to the field?” I asked.
“Hell yea!” She gave Dean a quick kiss. “I’ll be back.”
“Okay, we’re going to watch from the bleachers.” He nodded at Ron, Tammy, and Donte
We drove behind some other cars to get to the field.
