CHAPTER 17
The girls and I walked into our new restaurant we’d named after Cameron. It was called ‘Cameron’s.’ We’d planned on naming the club after Adrianna, so it was going to be called ‘Club Adri.’ It was simple. Who cared? Inside of the restaurant, Tammy and I decided to decorate it in a modern theme, something that you didn’t see around New York anymore. Everything here was high tech and some more. Cameron’s was definitely going to stand out.
To make things speed up, we hired two different decorators to handle four projects. I was ready to clean my money up and do my thing as the Queen of New York. Yup, I was now on top, and that happened in one year. It took Chancey a year and some months to have New York on lock. He shouldn’t have taught me the rules of the game because his record was now broken. Daddy was proud of his baby girl, though. The counters and tables were already done and set up. We wanted to have a waiting spot also, so we made little living room-like sections in the front of the restaurant.
“Jody!” I called for the decorator.
He came out in a pair of tight black dress pants, pink blouse, and a black blazer. His shoes were pink flats. Jody was a bad gay guy and he knew it. He kept a fresh cut and his waves were on point.
“Hey, boos,” he greeted us each with cheek kisses.
“Hey, Jody. The place is looking good so far,” Tammy said.
“Yes, girl. I know, thanks. Do y’all need anything?”
“Nah, call me or Tammy if you need anything,” I told him.
“Will do. Bye, girls.” Jody gave us all a hug and we left.
After the restaurant, we went to check on the last two places then went to the shopping center on 5th Avenue. I bought my babies new pair of shoes and some more clothes. They enough of that already, but hey, it doesn’t hurt to have more.
It had been a while since I’d had a girl’s night with my girls, but from now on that was going to change; starting tonight. Everyone had decided to have a sleepover at my house tonight after the club. The turn up was going to be something serious. Once the shopping was done, we went to Subway for something to eat. Instead of eating there, we decided to go home and eat. I stopped at Tammy and Bella’s house for them to get their clothes then we headed to my house.
When I pulled up, we got up and went into the house. The sound of laughter filled the room as we got in. Sharrif and Dean were on the floor playing with Niels and Cameron. I was confused as hell as to where my daughter was and why her father wasn’t with her. I put my bags down and stood over Sharrif and Dean while they played. He looked up and stood.
“Wassup, ma. Did you have fun?” Sharrif said, giving me a cheek kiss.
