The creme brûlée was nothing short of decadent. The crunchy caramelized sugar on top paired perfectly with the creamy vanilla sweetness inside. After we’d finished, they insisted on walking me back to Anja’s office.

Bren escorted me again, and the others didn’t protest. He held me closer this time, his arm curved possessively around my waist and his hand resting lightly on my hip. Caldar and Zerian walked beside us, letting Bren have his turn to be close to me, I realized, with a blush.

Between the delicious meal, the post-orgasmic glow and the attention from three gorgeous men, I felt like I was floating over the walkway. I was only dimly aware of the crowds of beautiful guests, the opulent decor, and the gorgeous scenery. They had turned my whole world upside down with one focus: them.

As we passed people they knew, the dragons would nod politely to guests that greeted them. But when they caught sight of a man with bright-red hair strolling up the walkway, the three broke into simultaneous smiles.

“Orev!” Zerian called. “Come meet our friend.”

He waved lazily and sauntered over to us. I was trying to think why he looked so familiar. Then it hit me: he had been sitting at the table with Caldar during my disastrous interview.

“Orev, may I present Sarah, Anja’s new assistant? And Sarah, this is Orev the Red, a longtime friend of ours,” Bren said smoothly.

“Pleased to meet you,” I said, holding out my hand to shake. I hoped to make a better impression this time than dropping a whole tray of glassware.

Orev bent down with an exaggerated bow to plant a kiss on the back of my hand. “Well hello there,” he said, winking at me. His eyes were the deep red of garnets.

Caldar scoffed. “Watch out for this one, Sarah. He could charm the skin off a snake.”

“Snakeskins don’t interest me,” Orev said. “I prefer warmer blood.” He smirked and glanced at the dragons, taking in their closeness to me with an arched eyebrow.

I felt a little flush of embarrassment. I was used to thinking that one woman with multiple men was a normal relationship, thanks to Allie, but the way he was looking at us reminded me that other people might think it was a bit strange.

“You four look cozy,” Orev drawled, confirming my worry. “Aren’t you supposed to be working?”

“Oh, like you know anything about work,” Zerian teased. “But yes, we’re taking Sarah back to Anja now.”

“Dear sweet Anja,” the red-haired dragon sighed theatrically. “What a gal. Well, don’t let me keep you. We can catch up later. Nice to meet you, Sarah.” He gave me another slow smile.

“Likewise,” I said, managing a smile in return.

The rest of the walk back was uneventful, and we were back at the offices disappointingly soon.

“Thank you for a lovely lunch,” I said, unable to stop from blushing. Lovely was an understatement.

“It was our pleasure,” Bren said, his low voice like velvet against my skin.

Zerian smiled. “Yes. Let’s do it again sometime.”

“Sometime soon,” Caldar added, with a wicked grin.
