“See, look how beautiful this house is… It’s not so close to the city like you requested, and it has the perfect private school all the kids in the neighborhood attend.” She walked around this ultra-modern house.

The shit reminded me of the house in the movie Enough with J-LO. The shit had no personality and didn’t feel like a home that the kids would want. By walking through, I already spotted at least seven safety hazards for Kingsley. The center block accents on some parts of the house and the stone furniture that the realtor said came with it wasn’t my style.

“Uh huh.” I continued to walk around while she floated through the house showing me her favorite parts of it. From how familiar she was with the house, she had been here before she brought me here.

“Is that all you have to say, Babe?” She did a soft giggle, and looked from me toward the realtor, who wanted to get this house off her hands.

“If you’re unsure about purchasing right away, I can speak with the sellers and arrange a deal for you guys to rent from them for a bit,” the realtor replied as we toured the master bedroom.

“Look at this bathroom. Can you just see us in here enjoying one another?” Jia rubbed my chest while I looked around the prison bathroom.

“Being real with you, Babe, this shit reminds me of prison. Can we dip already?”

Jia sucked her teeth and cut her eyes at me. “Are you serious? This is art and I can see us living here. Kingsley can be bathed in here whenever we give her a bath and look at the countertops. This is giving Kim Kardashian bathroom vibes.”

“Now we see why that nigga Kanye got a whole ranch in the sticks. This house reminds me of a fucking asylum.” I exited the bathroom and then looked at the slab of concrete with a mattress.

“Why are always so hesitant to change? This home is beautiful, and the sellers did an amazing job designing and decorating it. Plus, it will look good when it comes to filming.”

The realtor realized that she could potentially lose this sale, so she decided to step in like the shit would help. “This would look beautiful while filming the show. We’ve had this house on the market for two days, and I’ve held off on accepting any offers so I can show it to you.”

“Why the fuck would you do that?”

“Because I asked her to wait for you to come out here, and she was nice enough to do it,” Jia jumped in, offended that I had cursed at her little realtor friend.

I owned enough properties to know that this realtor was some young junior realtor at her firm. The bigger fish probably gave her this listing because they knew it would take a lot of convincing to get a buyer to commit to putting an offer. Kim Kardashian could sell her house quick because of her name, and the value a buyer knows that will bring when it’s their time to sell.
