Not gonna make it. Not with Ai looking him over, running her avid gaze all over him, especially his crotch. They’d made it back in one piece, but his aching loins might literally explode.

“Lovely. You have to stop looking at me like that.”

“Don’t tell me what to do.” Good to know an orgasm hadn’t changed her demanding personality, although she smiled while sitting next to him in the golf cart.

“I have so many plans.” He parked the cart behind the shed and scooped her out of the seat. “Pick up the picnic basket.”

“Put me down, crazy.” She thumped his chest, and then grabbed the bag.

“No. You’ll run away, or more naked dancers will show up. I can’t take the chance.”

“So what? You’re planning on carrying me around the rest of the night?”

“Until we get to my car. Then I’ll drive you home, pick you up again, take you to your bedroom, and allow you to do wicked things to my body.”

“You’re lucky I’m so relaxed, right now. I will allow it.”

“Must be nice.” He groaned. “My balls are elephant-sized.”

Ai looked him over and laughed. Out loud. She hugged him tight. “You were the one who wanted to rush away.”

God, her soft laughter made the need ratchet higher. That sound. He wanted to hear it, again and again. He saw his truck in the distance. Only a few more minutes. “Let me tell you what I’m going to do to you to you when—”

“Well, hello, you two! We were starting to get worried. How was the twilight picnic? I hope you liked the food. I didn’t have time to throw together much.” Mrs. Hills, Rusty’s wife, came out of nowhere, directly in their path.

“It was awesome, Mrs. Hills.” Sebastian stopped short. “Thank you again for your generosity.”

“Put me down,” Ai whispered.

Sebastian placed her right in front of him, to block his raging boner. He had the worst luck in the world when it came to women. Or Ai, specifically.

“It was wonderful. Thank you,” Ai said.

“You’re so welcome. Join us, please. The fireworks won’t last much longer. Use the blanket I included in the basket. Sit. Right here.” The plump woman’s welcoming personality reminded him of his mother’s.

“Ai?” How to talk her into agreeing? She might get overwhelmed all over again, but he couldn’t be rude.

“It’s okay. Nighttime always makes it better. I don’t think I’ll freak out this time.”

Sebastian looked at the large crowd, all seated and exclaiming over the flashes of light. The colors shone in Ai’s glossy hair, and he fisted his hand to stop himself from touching the silken lushness. “Thanks.”

Ai unfolded the blanket behind Rusty and his wife, close enough not to be rude, but affording them a tiny bit of space.

“Hun, there’s fresh baked cornbread in the cooler. Feel free to take a couple of pieces.” She watched them closely as they sat down, her face falling when they didn’t immediately take a piece.

“I love cornbread,” Ai exclaimed seconds before he did. She’d obviously noticed the woman’s distress and tried to make her feel better.
