3. Read the Letter Out Loud

Now take out the letter you wrote and read it out loud. This is an important part of the exercise. Remember to turn the phones off, and make sure nobody else is home.

As you read the letter, feelings may start welling up inside you; that is normal. The next step will help discharge the trauma.

4. Hit the Object

If you have a mattress or punching bag, go nuts. I mean really hit, yell or kick—whatever you need to do to get the rage, shame and hate out of you and back to the person who wounded you. It’s that person’s shame you have been carrying all these years, not yours, and it is time to give it back.

This can take anywhere from ten to sixty minutes depending on the trauma and how deeply it’s lodged inside of you. You are now taking the bullet from that specific person out of your being three-dimensionally—spirit, soul and body.
