Chapter Fourteen

Dasir

It was getting much easier to steal money right up under Kas’ nose. His ass was so stuck up on what was going on in his personal life that he hadn’t noticed. Yet, anyway. I knew hitting up the stash houses and burning them to the ground was gon’ be much harder. But I had a team of loyal members who were down to do anything I asked them to do.

It had been almost three weeks since Emori had her daughter Karianna, and I had yet to speak to her ass. I ain’t give a damn if she didn’t want to fuck with me anymore. All I wanted to know was if Karianna was for me or not. Shit, I’d be dammed if I let another man take care of my daughter as long as I had breath in my body. I didn’t give a damn if he was my twin brother. I wanted to take care of my own child.

“Yo, Manda, you talked to that bitch Emori?”

“Why are you calling her a bitch, Dasir? Damn, you and your brother some disrespectful motherfuckers. And why do you wanna know?” Amanda snapped as she rocked our son Devan back to sleep.

“Man, fuck all that, when you talk to her?”

“I talked to her earlier, why?”

“Kas been trying to get in touch. Call her and tell her for me.”

She picked her phone up and dialed Emori’s number. Amanda put the phone on speaker just as Emori picked up.

“What’s up, girl? I thought you were gon’ call me later on.” Before Amanda could say anything, I grabbed the phone from her and walked out the room. “Amanda?”

“Nah, it’s not Amanda. Where the fuck you at?”

“What you want, Dasir?”

“You know what I want. Please don’t have me acting up.”

“Alright, Dasir. I’ll call you later on this week, but right now, I gotta go,” she said, hanging up on me before I could say anything else.

I turned around to go back in the nursery to give Amanda her phone back, but her ass was standing behind me with her hands on her hips.

“What was that all about, Dasir?” she asked me with narrowed eyes. I gave her the phone back and walked right past her. “Don’t fucking ignore me,” she yelled as she punched my back.

“Chill out, Amanda. Damn, I was handling something for Kas,” I lied and told her.

“Bullshit, don’t even try to play me like I’m fucking dumb, Dasir, because I’m far from it.”

“I know you are, damn, Amanda.”

“Then tell me what the fuck is going on. Are you cheating on me with her?” she asked with tears in her eyes.

I looked at her for a long minute before I nodded my head up and down. Shit, I might as well tell her the truth, because if Karianna was mine, there was no way that I was hiding my baby from no fucking body! And Kasir was included.
