Greenhouse Fruit

A greenhouse can help you to get better and more reliable crops from tender fruits, such as melons, grapes, peaches, and nectarines.

Greenhouses are the only way for gardeners in coldest zones to grow heat-loving crops. Even a small garden can find space for a greenhouse to grow exotic fruits. If you are aiming for variety it is worth including as much greenhouse space as you can.

Melons

Melons can be grown in a cool greenhouse, but ensure they are producing fruit and not just foliage.

As long as you keep melons well-watered and pinch out the sideshoots, there is no reason why you should not be able to grow your own fruit. Look for small cantaloupe and honeydew varieties recommended for growing indoors.
