Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh thyme, chopped
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 pinch dried basil
1 small red onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups red bell pepper, chopped
4 cups soaked walnuts
Directions
First, soak the walnuts in spring water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
Add the soaked walnuts in the food processor along with bell pepper and onions.
Add in salt, thyme and process on high speed setting until you achieve your preferred consistency- whether smooth or chunky.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl using a rubber spatula and dehydrate to make into walnut crumble or meat patties.
You can also add the contents to an airtight container and keep it refrigerated for a maximum of 1 week.
