This third habit, staying open to the movement of God, looks like this: surrender, stay humble, surrender again, and then . . . get even more humble. If we do not give up on this process, in due time He will lift us up. Just like He did through Boaz with Ruth.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. (James 4:10)

When we learn to stay open to what God’s doing, then He can do something special.
