God Meets You in the Moments

We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

—Romans 8:28

All of us have an accuser, one who stands before God pointing out all our sins and mistakes (Revelation 12:10). But here’s a truth to hold on to: your accuser loses—though he isn’t ready to admit his defeat. Even now, because you belong to Christ, that accuser has no power over you because, as Romans 8:1 declares, “There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (NLT).

Yes, there will be times when you step away from God’s plan. But when you do, because you belong to Him, God doesn’t listen to your accuser. Instead, He steps down to meet you on that broken pathway you’ve stumbled onto. He brushes away the dirt and dust of your sins, your doubts, and your disobedience. And with love and grace, He stretches out His hand and gently guides you back to His perfect path. All the while He heals and teaches and renews so that you grow stronger than ever before.

While the accuser strives to use our stumblings against us, God promises to use them for us.
