Taking a closer look, something seemed off to me, so I went back to the other side of the house. The sides were pretty much mirror images of each other, but the bedroom that he must have been using was smaller than the empty one. I tilted my head, taking a mental snapshot so I could compare it to the other side.

Once I got back to the other side, I saw the difference right off the bat. The wall with the fireplace had been brought out on either side, creating an alcove that the fireplace snuggled into. That made no sense. It cut a solid six feet off the room. The space was still so big that it didn't really matter, but why would he have closed off so much of the room?
