Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Coat a sheet pan with vegetable oil.

Place salmon skin-side down on sheet pan. Squeeze juice of 1/2 lemon over the salmon and sprinkle lightly with salt, pepper, and dill weed. Bake uncovered until flesh is opaque on the outside and salmon breaks apart in flakes when you insert a knife into the thickest part, 15–20 minutes, depending on thickness. It is okay if center of salmon remains slightly orange, as it will continue to cook from residual heat for about 10 minutes after being removed from oven. Before serving, squeeze another 1/2 lemon over the fish. Cut remaining lemon into wedges for serving.
