You don’t need to always be right. You don’t need to prove that superstitious person’s beliefs to be illogical nonsense to continue enjoying your rational world view. You don’t need to get angry about it. There may be exceptions however. Such as when unfounded superstitions lead to people getting hurt or dying unnecessarily. But we aren’t talking about that type of situation here.
We are talking about that instinct people have to attack anything that challenges their world view. It’s often something extremely petty and meaningless.
