AT THE CROSSROADS OF FICTION AND THEORY – THREE REFLECTIONS ON ENGAGING IN WRITING

In the following sections, we will discuss and reflect upon our experiences of writing a textbook and how to write differently through bending and blurring two genres and the collaboration with a professional novelist. We structure our discussion around three aspects – derived from both the literature and our own experiences – that we believe are important ingredients and motivators when it comes to how fiction can help us as researchers challenge and develop how we write: (a) writing with voice, (b) writing with resonance and (c) writing with an open end.
