Key points to remember

In step 3, don’t worry about being too negative or that by writing your worst fears on paper, you are focusing on the negative and so might attract more negative outcomes. Your fears are your fears and no one has the right to say that your fears are silly or unfounded. Whatever you write down as your fears and worries is a matter between you and the Universe.

For step 4, start by simply listing down the things you want or would like to happen. To make this more powerful, describe what you really want. Take the things you wrote in your list and elevate them – use active, descriptive words like “I am enjoying this,” or “I am so excited that”. Write until you start feeling that what you want is actually present and on its way to you. Keep writing until you start feeling good about your situation. Then ramp everything up even more. Write as if you already possess the things you want or what you would like to happen already has and now you’re looking back from your current position to the time when you wrote your letter.

For step 6, as with what Nadia did, while you are waiting for the Universe to answer, do your best not to be anxious. Keep yourself busy with other things you enjoy doing. In the same way that Nadia stopped applying for jobs entirely during the period she waited, you might even want to stop doing anything that is an attempt to fix your problem. Remember, you have already assigned this job to the Universe and it can do it infinitely better than you can. Relax and enjoy the process of waiting.
