The backup volume is opened, which may take a little while. From the resultant screen, choose the items to be restored then click Next:

The subsequent screen allows you to specify where the items will be restored to, for example to their original location. There may be additional requests for authentication – enter the details for the systemadmin account. Upon completion a confirmation screen is displayed; at this point you can close down the Dashboard and plus logout from the computer if you have been using the systemadmin account.
