I looked around in awe as Scorch led me through his sprawling upstate mansion. He eventually brought me into what I assumed was the living room, or at least one of them anyway. There was a huge entertainment center and a giant flat screen on the wall, a real fireplace, and even a bar in the corner which appeared better stocked than a bar at some clubs. I knew the rich lived well, but damn! While I was busy trippinâ over this extravagant setup, Scorch came up behind me and placed a hand in the small of my back. When I turned to face him, he pulled me into his hard body. He lowered his head and started kissing me on the neck. I palmed his dick. It was already growing hard. He lifted his head and stared into my eyes as he began to unbutton my shirt. He was a second away from kissing me on the lips, when I gently pushed him away.
âWhatâs the rush, yo? We got all the time in the world.â I held his gaze as I walked over to the long, white leather sofa and sat down. Unbeknownst to him, I was just playinâ him, pretending to like him so I could bring his ruthless ass down for ordering the hit that put Max in the hospital and on deathâs door.
âCarpe diem, my man. You never know how long youâve got left on this planet. Seize the moment.â He chuckled.
âNo doubt. I feel you.â
âWould you like something to drink?â He made his way to the bar.
âYeah.â
âWhat do you want? I got everything you can think of.â
âI bet you do.â I flashed a flirty smile. âSurprise me.â
He smiled back, nodding his head. After pouring two drinks he walked over to me and handed me a glass of brown liquor. I took a sip of it and grimaced, feeling it burn my throat on the way down.
âCognac.â Scorch took a sip from his glass, looking amused. âThe good shit. I believe this particular brand runs several thousand a bottle.â
âI believe that. Itâs strong as fuck.â
He laughed and sat close to me on the couch. We spent the next thirty minutes drinking and discussing my legal predicament. Scorch assured me that I would beat the gun charge.
âYou really think Iâll get off?â
âOf course,â he said confidently. âIâll set you up with some excellent lawyers.â
âThanks.â I had been subtly trying to get him to talk about his drug trafficking operation, but he kept changing the subject. This seemed like the perfect opportunity. âDo you think they could get you off if you ever got caught?â
He gave me a weird look. âCaught with what?â
âYou know, the whole drug trafficking thing.â
He was about to say something when the doorbell rang.
âOh, I invited someone to join us. Byron,â he called out, âcan you get that?â
Scorchâs ever-present body guard, Byron, promptly left the room. A few minutes later, he returned, followed by Hood, whose appearance caught me by surprise. Byron came over and leaned into Scorch.
