CHAPTER 43

Kaylia’s head spun as Brokk’s mouth settled against her, and his tongue did the most deliciously wicked things she’d ever experienced. The man weaved magic with his mouth, and she rocked against him until her legs quaked.

A dim, distant part of her tried to speak up and remind her why she shouldn’t be doing this, but as she gripped his ears and pulled him more firmly against her, she didn’t care what it tried to say. All she craved was him and the ecstasy he created.

Even if she could recall why this should stop, she wouldn’t end it. It felt far too good.

Her head tipped back, and she moaned as she rode his tongue. A long-forgotten tightness clenched her belly, her toes curled, and the world filled with rapture as she came apart with a cry.

Feeling as if the bones were pulled from her body, she would have fallen to the ground if he hadn’t caught her and scooped her into his arms. Kaylia smiled as her head fell against his shoulder, and tremors continued to roll through her.

The thick wall of his muscles bunched around her as he moved. Cradled against his chest, she’d never felt so secure and protected as when he held her.

He shifted her in his arms, and she didn’t know what he was doing until he settled her on the ground. Except, he’d somehow managed to get a blanket down.

Still trapped in her haze of rapture, she stretched languidly as he pulled off her boots and pants before removing his own. Freed from its confines, his shaft stood proudly out from his body, and her mouth watered at the sight of it. It was as rigid and thick as she’d imagined, and she couldn’t stop herself from squirming at the idea of having it inside her.

Her euphoria faded as desire surged back to an all-consuming intensity that she couldn’t deny. Needing to feel all of him against her, she tugged off her shirt and undid her bra.

His eyes held hers as he settled himself between her thighs and removed her bra. Once he had her completely naked, his gaze raked her body before hungrily latching onto her breasts.

“You’re gorgeous,” he murmured, “and I’m going to own every part of you.”

Goose bumps broke out on her arms, and her breath hitched at his words. It was a promise she knew he would keep.

His head bent to her chest, and he claimed one of her nipples. Ready for more, Kaylia lifted her hips to him. The motion brought the head of his cock into contact with her; he pressed a little deeper, teasing her entrance but not entering.

Growing irritated by his refusal to give her what she wanted, Kaylia lifted herself further, but he still held back. Then he raised his head from her breast and reclaimed her mouth.

Brokk kissed her like it would be the last one he’d ever experience; he kissed her like she was the most desirable woman he’d ever encountered and the only one who mattered.
